Engineering Lead, Edversity
Dr. Usman Ahmed spent 17+ years securing real networks before he ever taught them. For 18 years he was the sole IT and network authority at Fauji Cement, designing and defending the infrastructure behind 500+ users across multiple industrial sites: enterprise LAN/WAN, Windows and Linux servers, virtualization, and disaster recovery with zero critical downtime.
Today he works at the intersection of AI and cybersecurity, building explainable machine-learning models for intrusion detection, with five Q1 journal publications across Springer, Elsevier, and MDPI, where he also serves as a peer reviewer. He teaches Information Security and Network Communications as visiting faculty at Iqra University, running hands-on labs in packet analysis, firewall configuration, and intrusion detection.
